There are current vacancies in the Health and Human Services Agency. Additionally, the eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time, part-time, limited term and extra help vacancies as they occur over the 12 months.
Mental Health - this position is responsible for greeting consumers, agency, and community partners in person and by phone and assisting individuals and families accessing mental health services which includes answering questions regarding services, maintaining ongoing database of calls and interactions with callers, and entering all required information they are received.
Experience and Education
To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:
One year of directly related general clerical experience.
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by general clerical training.
License or Certificate:
Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Bilingual skills are required for consideration for this recruitment. Applicants will be required to take and pass a bilingual (Spanish) exam.
THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Application Deadline 5:00pm PDT, September 29, 2023
Application Screening Week of October 2, 2023
Written Examination Week of October 23, 2023.
Candidates who pass the written examination will be invited to take the bilingual skills examination.
Bilingual Skills Examination Week of November 6, 2023.
Successful completion of level I (oral) and level II (written) is required.
Establish Eligible List Tentatively by the week of November 20, 2023. Candidates who are successful at passing the written examination and bilingual skills examination will be placed on the eligibility list and may be considered for current and future vacancies for up to one year.
The Human Resources Department reserves the right to change the recruitment process at any time.
