Job Overview
Under the administrative supervision of the Chief of CSUSM University Police Department (UPD) and the clinical supervision of Director of Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) at Student Health & Counseling Services (SHCS), the Director of CCRT will manage the ongoing development and implementation of CCRT to address the mental health or behavioral health crisis incidents occurring on the CSUSM campus. Cougar Crisis Response Team (CCRT) is CSUSM's innovative and holistic approach to providing preventative and emergency psychiatric crisis response services to campus community members that may experience an urgent mental or behavioral health crisis. CCRT offers a collaborative approach to crisis response and public safety that fosters trust with students, faculty, and staff, while also advancing the University's commitment to anti-racism, culture of care, and inclusive excellence. The CCRT Director is responsible for coordinating the University's efforts toward crisis response, intervention, prevention, education, outreach, and training. The role of the CCRT Director is to implement a program that provides immediate response to and management of situations where members of the campus community are experiencing mental or behavioral health crisis. Through the use of crisis management and trauma informed practices the Cougar Crisis Response Team will work in collaboration with University Police Department, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other campus partners to prevent, reduce, or eliminate injury to students, staff, faculty and campus community. The CCRT Director will assist the develop, plan, and implement strategies to manage program growth. The CCRT Director will regularly review and recommend changes in program services to meet client and community needs with particular emphasis on services for underserved populations. Duties also include the oversight of program evaluation and quality assurance functions for the team including assessment of applicable legal and professional requirements and monitoring services provided to clients. The CCRT Director will ensure contract compliance for employees and volunteer personnel and will initiate, implement, and monitor compliance with evidence-based practices. The CCRT Director will facilitate the flow of information between offices throughout the University such as Faculty Affairs, Office of Inclusive Excellence, Human Resources, Title IX/Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation, University Police Department, Student Health & Counseling Services among other appropriate departments and individuals across the University while maintaining the appropriate level of confidentiality for the individuals with whom they work. The CCRT Director will serve on the University's confidential CARE (Campus Assessment, Response, and Education) Team whose collaborative mission is to conduct violence prevention, threat assessment, and crisis intervention. The CCRT Director will coordinate with University Advancement to cultivate donors, raise funds, and develop grant proposals for program development and works to instill a campus climate that supports the program's success. Director of Cougar Crisis Response Team (CCRT) - (Administrator II)

This is a full time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $8,750 - 10,000 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,583 - $14,713 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
