Inglewood Unified School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Irrigation and Grounds Maintenance Technician! Incumbents will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled, journey-level tasks involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of manual, automatic and computerized irrigation systems. The position requires graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of increasingly responsible experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of landscape irrigation systems, including their electronic controls. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
JOB SUMMARY:

DEFINITION

Under general supervision of the Deputy Chief of Maintenance and Operations or designee, performs a variety of skilled, journey-level tasks involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of manual, automatic and computerized irrigation systems and performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled grounds maintenance duties.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Supervision is provided by the Deputy Chief of Maintenance and Operations or designee. This position includes lead responsibilities and does not include supervision of staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

Education, Training and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of landscape irrigation systems, including their electronic controls.
Any combination of training and experience, which would indicate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities, listed herein.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District's vehicle insurance policy.
