Job Summary
Provide support to the Executive Director of Facilities and the Director of Physical Plant by: inspecting, repairs, installing, making modifications and maintaining plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drainage systems. Identifies electrical, plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and take necessary corrective action.
Essential Job Duties

Provide support by repairing/replacing various types of plumbing. Replace and or repair facets, urinals, toilets and sinks.
Install drain lines. Service and maintain all ice machines and water softeners. Will be responsible to keep accurate records on replacement of filters on all water softeners, and ice machines.
Under the direction of the Director of Physical Plant, run water lines when required. This may include soldering of cooper piping and or braising.
Provide maintenance and or repairs of oilers, water heaters, water softeners and booster pumps, water treatment and steam Generators.

Provide maintenance on all Air and Vacuum lines.
Will be required to maintain and service all sump pumps.
Prepares and follows a plumbing maintenance schedule, processing Service Requests on a timely basis.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems related to commercial office buildings.
Ability to read commercial building blueprints related to plumbing systems
Must follow all rules of safety for plumbing work performed
Must have (5) years prior experience with plumbing systems, hand tools and other tools necessary to perform the duties of this position.
Good mathematics and verbal communication skills.
Must have prior knowledge of plumbing control systems.
Must be able to interact effectively with the administration, faculty, staff and outside vendors.
Must have ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and be flexible with job assignments. Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Education: Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required skills and abilities. Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience: Five (5) years plumbing experience.
Computer experience: Internet, spreadsheet and plumbing controls
